How to delegate Osmosis on Meria's Validator from the delegation interface?

The following article will provide guidance on how to delegate tokens through the Meria delegation interface using Keplr wallet. While we will be using OSMO tokens as an example, this tutorial is applicable to all tokens supported by the Keplr wallet.

If you have OSMO tokens in your Keplr wallet and are interested in delegating them through the Meria delegation interface, please continue reading.

Here's a 3-step guide to delegating your OSMOs.

Step 1 : Hold OSMO on your Keplr Wallet

You need to possess some Osmo in your wallet to be able to stake it.

Do you still not have a Keplr Wallet? Click here to download the web extension and create your wallet.

Step 2 : Connect your Keplr Wallet

On the right upside corner, click on "Connect my wallet" and accept the terms and conditions to continue.

A

First, locate the OSMOSIS network either from the list or the search bar.

B
You can view :
• Your available OSMO for staking
• Staked OSMO
• OSMO rewards

STEP 3 : Delegate your token to Meria's validators

Delegating your token to an on-chain validator makes you eligible for rewards. Sending already staked OSMO is impossible.

Once you have selected the token, you can proceed to stake your available tokens by clicking on the "stake" button.

Please note that the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) provided is only an indication and may not be maintained or guaranteed by Meria.

Transaction fees are the charges paid directly to the network for recording the transaction on the blockchain.

Meria's fees, on the other hand, are the commissions received by Meria validators for providing you with staking services. These fees are collected from the interest generated by the staking services.

C
Validate and sign the transaction on your Keplr wallet.

D
Congratulations ! Your tokens are now working for you and generating interests.

How to unstake your assets

Please select the amount you wish to unstake. Before doing so, please keep in mind that:
• All waiting rewards will be automatically claimed.
• The amount being unstaked will be suspended for a period of 14 days before being added to your available balance on your Keplr's Wallet.

E
Once you have selected the amount to unstake, validate and sign the transaction.

Claim your rewards

Once your rewards are available, you can claim them by clicking on the "Claim" button. However, please note that claiming rewards generates fees.

When you claim rewards from a validator, you have two options :
• You can either choose to cash in, which means that the rewards amount will be added to your available balance
• Alternatively, you can restake the rewards amount by redelegating it to the same validator.

F
Lastly, make sure to validate and sign the transaction after choosing your preferred option.

Compound interest (Restake)

Your assets are now generating rewards that can be used to earn compound interest. To take advantage of this, click on the "AutoCompound" button.

g
h
If you have any tokens that are not yet staked, you can also "restake" them in your wallet within the same contract.

Make sure to validate and sign the transaction to complete the process.

Redelegate on Meria's validators

If you have OSMO tokens in your Keplr wallet and are interested in delegating them through the Meria delegation interface, please continue reading.

If you choose to delegate your tokens to Meria validators, you can do so easily using the redelegation function. This only takes a few clicks.
Your rewards will be automatically claimed and available in your spot portfolio. If you want to store them, you will need to perform a second operation.

Simply click on "Redelegate" and enter the amount of OSMO you want to store on the Meria validators.

i
Make sure to validate and sign the transaction to complete the process.

For optimal security, we recommend using a hardware wallet such as Ledger.

About OSMOSIS

The Osmosis project was announced in October 2020 and launched on June 19, 2021. It gained popularity for its "airdrop" - a free distribution of a portion of $OSMO tokens to people who held $ATOM in staking.

Osmosis aims to provide a decentralized exchange (DEX) for projects within the Cosmos ecosystem, which will provide access to large liquidity flows. This platform will facilitate exchanges and interaction between various independent blockchains, also known as sovereign blockchains.

Currently, Osmosis is the most active area of the Cosmos ecosystem with almost 4 million token transfers via the IBC interoperability protocol. Therefore, Osmosis holds an important place in facilitating exchanges between blockchains within the Cosmos universe.
